Hello everyone!

I am Rev. Susanna Orensky.  I am a licensed youth pastor through the Disciples of Christ.  I am blessed to be the youth ministry pastor here at Pershing.  I have been working with the youth at Pershing for six years.   Our youth ministry is focused on building young people in their Christian walk so that they can know, live and share, the good news about Jesus in their daily walk.  

Pershing Avenue Christian Church offers terrific educational and fellowship for our young people, from birth to college age.  Our youngest worshipers, our infants and toddlers, enjoy high quality Sunday school and nursery care on Sunday mornings.  We offer a unique Sunday school experience for our preschool and elementary age kids.  We use a rotation model that engages children in many different learning styles.  Each week we introduce a story from the Bible through either drama, music, art, games, cooking and science.  Kids get to learn the stories in active, engaging ways.  We also offer a special worship environment for this age group.  After the Children's moment they join me for Wonder and Worship.  Here the children hear stories told in a ritualized way.  In Wonder and Worship we help children embrace the bible stories as their own.  Our middle school youth enjoy a topical Sunday school lesson.  They also have a youth group Sunday afternoons, a time of fellowship and growth.  Our high school group has a current events Sunday school lesson and youth group on Sunday afternoons.  This group does service work, plans events, studies, enjoys fellowship and events.    We also have a nice sized group of college age people who surround these ministries with their love and care.

I love my work here at Pershing.  I have three young children of my own and a wonderful husband.  I am working toward seminary and ordination.  I hope that you will come to love Pershing, as I do and that here your faith will grow and be nurtured.  Welcome.

 Please allow me to introduce myself: I am Amy Dannemiller.  I have lived in the Conway area and have attended Conway schools and graduated from Boone High School.  My parents both work for Orange County and have been very involved in the community throughout my life.  I received my BA degree in Early Childhood Development from Milligan College, a small Christian College in East Tennessee, where my husband and I met. We have been blessed with two amazing children, Taylan and Ketryn.  I have worked at my children’s Mom’s Day Out and served as the Director for their Summer Program.  I have truly enjoyed watching my children and their friends grow in Mom’s Day Out Programs.  I also currently serve as the President of the Conway MOMS Club of Orlando. When I have free time, I love participating in triathlons with my husband, reading books with my book club, maintaining our garden or swimming with my children. I am blessed to have this opportunity to be the Director of Pershing Avenue Christian Church’s Mom’s Day Out and look forward to an amazing year!

  

 Prior to becoming the Assistant Director for the Mom's Day Out Program at Pershing Avenue Christian Church,  I was employed by Conway Methodist Preschool.  Since 2008 I have worked as a Teacher's Aid and substitute teacher for 3 year old classes, 4 Year old VPK classes and music. I am an active volunteer at Lake George Elementary School and currently serve as the PTA President for the 2010-2011 school year.  I also served on the PTA as the Vice President of Fundraising for the 2009-2010 School Year. I have been an active resident in the Conway community since 1997.  I am married with two children and enjoys running and biking.
